Colder weather may have not hurt INTEREST in florida real estate but as the articles say:

Florida foreclosures and up and sales are down, AGAIN

Maybe she is HOPING they will forget about the issues down here-----

Do you think they will forget the foreclosure issue that has a 158% increase over the past year??

There is a show on AM radio on Sunday. It is a realtor and MB. I think it is on 540 or 580. They were driving me nuts. They were telling the listners that the market was @ the bottom. and will increase 4% in 2009. I tried to call in but could not get on. Every appraisal I have done since I can remeber the market is in oversupply. So how in the heck are we @ the bottom when it is still a buyers market. They probaly would have hung up on me.

You are in the business of valuing real estate, they are in the business of selling real estate and lending money. Don't you understand that you are a boil on their a**. They SOLVE problems, we make problems. It is appraisers like you who won't be a team players that created this whole problem. If you had just kept coming up with higher values the world would be a better place.

The public are sheep. They will listen more to the person who screwed them and put them into a crap deal before they will listen to you because they will tell them what the want to hear. Problem is when a REAL appraiser gets involved the public is unprepared to hear the truth.

If the market was at the bottom right now I would probably have a superviser and not still looking. I'm sorry I just had to find a way put a plug in for myself.:new_newbie:

Shameless.

Problem 1A: very little need (or desire to hire) appraisers that are willing to tell the truth.
