2010-2011 USPAP

The first version of USPAP was 47 pages. Obviously there were no SMTs, AOs or FAQs at the time. Standards Rule 10 (which was originally the last page) today ends at page 79. Most of the difference between the original 47 pages and todays 79 pages are due to breaking up lines that included more than one requirement into separate lines for each requirement and the addition of the comments, which are used for clarification and elaboration. They've added some definitions and expanded some on the Ethics Rule, but for the most part the expansion is primarily about providing more information about the requirements, not actually increasing requirements.

FYI, the 2010 version of the USPAP / FAQ / AOs publication does not include any new AOs when compared to the 2008 version. They revamped a handful of definitions, the Jurisdictional Exception Rule and SR3, added a couple new disclosure requirements to the Ethics Rule, and of course the number of FAQs has increased due to the monthly accumulation.

Got a USPAP Class tomorrow. Think I will ask if it is the new one, if not why not. You know they got to keep current, can be wasting time and money running two years behind.:new_multi:
