How's Appraisal Volume? January wasn't too bad, about 90% of my goal. February so far is only ranging 40% of my goal of 20-25 assignments per month.

Slower than typical year, to be expected. But refinances are picking up (and ALL of them having some 'thing' like an external influence - that tells you how many are getting waived or hybrided - basically almost everything else). I suspect that if you do not have a stable of default clients ordering REO 1004s or 2055 drive-bys you are way slower than usual ... this week just one 2055 order in 3 days so far ... did 8 last week ... so a definite slowdown ...

I'm in the Mid-Atlantic region, where we have had an unusual blast of winter weather from mid-January till just recently. Hoping that's at least part of it. Been talking with Lo's and Processors, sounds like most of them are busy.

It's about the same as last year for me. February was my worst month last year.

Lending fell off a cliff for me in November and has not recovered at all. Not even the usual random unknown AMC inquiries. Private work has been exceptionally busy tho. Pretty much all estate work.

Yep...probably busy requesting appraisal waivers.

Dec/Jan were good but it has slowed down the last week.

It picked up for me mid January, but prior that was was super slow for a month. Right now the VA keeps me busy, and random orders here and there. you are doing good with 22.5 assignments. I miss the refi boom.

Do you clients look for a designation for estate work?

Lending work has been the same for years. Spurts and slow. Never gains momentum. My private stuff steady.
