Yeah, trainees are not included. Any idea where to get that data at the national level?

Not available now, but will be.

State-credentialed trainee appraisers are officially added to the national registry under the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act, which became law on July 11, 2026.

Wow, 6.9% decline for certified residential and certified general remained stable at a 0.1% decline.

Part of that is CR appraisers moving up to CG.

Awesome, thank you for the info. That will give us a ton more insight in industry licensing trends.

Yeah, and this year's methodology accounted for the license upgrade moves (some were probably double counted when I ran 2025 numbers). I should go deeper into who actually upgraded vs who dropped out completely and how that affected the percentage changes. Great observation btw.
