3.6 and ACI

The UAD 3.6 train is scheduled to depart promptly in November 2026, the only obstacle is a lot of Luddite appraisers. Of course it would help if Fannie Mae had a right of way, tracks for the train, a locomotive, an engineer and a clue. It would even be a plus if they had a brakeman to take photos from the back of the caboose to show how far they’ve traveled, 3 uploaded reports thus far, it’s a bullet train.

Why not? 3.6 is all new, anyways. It's a great time to look at options. SFREP offers a very generous free period.

This is the "useful frame" to have if you are going boldly where no man has gone before - into the gaping maw of the "UAD 3.6 Abomination". You need to reframe and reinvent your entire workflow. The old one will be GONE the day the "lights are turned off" for the 1004/2055 Regime. Cash is 100% right here.

The whole time they are calling you an idiot for not embracing change! I sat in on a couple if their webinars and I could not believe their attitude. ACI is sure a piece of work...

The only thing they have "going" for them is the fact that the chick leading their "Workbench project" bears a passing resemblance to Scarlett Johanssen and is frankly pleasing to look at. But that won't help you write your reports in the "3.6 Abomination". ACI will be the first "Tech software casualty" of "The Abomination".

And if appraisers aren’t ready you an be sure that lenders aren’t ready. I talked to a lender about 4 months ago, and they had not even thought about it much and he was an appraiser on their staff!!

ACI is no worse than anybody else. The whole thing is a disaster. You need to understand that the extinction of the vast majority of appraisers is the goal. Once you understand that you become less frustrated. This is a transition to data collection. AI can easily replace the appraising part on a macro level and have a better macro accuracy rate with the proper data.

So enter your data in the redundant cloud based data driven ecosystem and stop bitching. The bitching and aggravation will shorten your lifespan.

I'm not joking here. The GSE's want automated and instant results. They want a mortgage approved and settled at credit card speed. I'm sure listing agents at some point will be compensated to do the data collecting which will be enough data for AI.

Don't feel too bad. There's no way the vast majority of loan officers and mortgage companies survive much longer either. Talk about a dinosaur.

You like what you like. Personally, I found ACI to be the worst of the sortware I've used.

Have you tried the other UAD 3.6 solutions? Or just assuming.
Have YOU tried them? Tried them as in not just watching or running a demo they show, but tried as in actually doing a UAD 3.6 appraisal start to finish on any of them?

This entire thing has been an absolute mess. The level of confusion is astonishing. The vendors aren’t ready. And those that say they are have so many bugs one can barely get a report done.
It's not the vendors fault, it's that 3.6 was designed by a government committee of neck tie people instead of appraisers and tech people.
