As to the bonding thing. How many of you appraisers have ever applied for a bond? It would be my guess that a great many of present day appraisers could not get a bond either due to the amount of money required, or for some other reasons. I have known some good businessmen who were not bondable for some reason or other.
Very few people are bondable for $1+ million, which would be the requirement for many of us if we had to get a bond eqaul to 1% of the total value of the properties which we aqppraised in the prior year.

We will see what comes. With a bond, you will just have your a-=-s stuck out into the wind for any unhappy MD, AMC, borrower or anyone else to grab. One grab and no more bond.

I guess that I am not permitted to make comments about your statements or question your point of view. That is pretty typical of most left wingers.....they all profess to be all about free speech, but they really only believe in free speech which agrees with their point of view. All other speech is to be labelled as "intolerence" or "hate speech" and must not be allowed.

You can state that my comments are non-factual nonsense. It is easier to just dismiss my comments out of hand that than it is to actually try to refute them, but, you are entitled to your point of view.

The reason I don't post my real name on here, frankly, is that big government types such as yourself scare the hell out of me. Since many liberals and left wingers believe that the ends justify the means and that all opposition must be silenced, I would not put it past someone like you to try to get me blacklisted from lenders' lists and/or file some anonymous complaints with my state appraisers board just because I express a different political viewpoint.

If I did that, it would NOT be because of your political views, but because I find it disgusting that there are so many idiots in a profession I have much higher respect for. You probably are justified in your fear like a lot of other "special people" on the forum who hide their "special" comments behind anonymous signatures.

Believe me, there aren't any communists around. There aren't even that manyany socialists, sorry to say. There are, however, some people who believe in an intelligent, rational and balanced approach political problems.

A high IQ president like Obama (certified IQ from school tests is reported to be 166 and 172) and a likewise high IQ VP like Wes Clark (who graduated top of his class at West Point and was a Rhodes Scholar) would be a welcome change from 8 years of Bush (IQ 130 based on SAT scores). -And that's coming from a life-long Republican who voted for Bush.

The fact is that Reagan and Bush pushed the deficit up dramatically during their terms of office. Clinton and Gore brought down to almost zero. As a baby-boomer heading for retirement ... forget political partisanship - I want someone who can balance the budget and preserve social security -while solving other important problems at the same time.

Iraq will be taken over by Iran ... and it's a total waste of resources. Wait and see.
