Actually that's only for form fillers. Some of us write our own reports and tell secondary market GFY.

Actually ... that only covers ... 90% of us?
;)
So, while we always appreciate the input from boutique appraisers like yourself, a little bit more understanding of our situation would probably be the right play here Terrell. Just sayin ... :hug:

If you insist on pounding the square peg of residential appraisal future into the round hole of what is unfolding ... Get an SRA and personally network and visit attorneys/CPAs for legal and estate work. Establish credentials then use your charm.

Not quite sure why this was directed at me ... but just in case it was ... let's have a go at it, shall we? ;)

Why I am not interested in following your dubious "advice":

Reason #1: Too old for this ****;
Reason #2: Would rather have all my teeth pulled than ever try to do the "personally network" Bull**** - its the LACK of having to deal with people that is one of the biggest draws of this job for me;
Reason #3: See reason #1; :ROFLMAO:

(I could have added the obvious parts about some of us not having the math skills - or interest - or patience anymore - to pursue the "SRA" thingy (whutevertheheckthatis), but ... you get the point by now ... the 'form filling' that some of the *AHEM* 'folks' on this board constantly pooh-pooh was actually the "feature" we liked ... a job mindless enough and short enough, per report, for tolerating the subject matter ... and the "pattern ID" component of the job is actually a mentally stimulating exercise - in short, compact doses - like an appraisal report ....)

BTW, did I mention I am a graduate of a Top-10 Law School and that I had several successful careers in that field until I (quite happily) transitioned into appraising 24 years ago? Care to flippantly suggest I go back to doing THAT? :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: (Hint: Would rather crawl on my face through a field of broken glass) ...

... anyhow ... intended or not, your post gave me the excuse for some "comic relief" ... which is exactly the way this post should be read ... before you get mad at me - it was for your (and everyone's) entertainment only ... :beer:

Wasn't directed at you at all.. my fault for not saying general advice for the younger crowd

No problem ... but I thought of another, more pithy, comic retort in the meantime: (cue Muhammad Ali voice) 'Didya miss the part where I essentially said we was in the same life situation'? :ROFLMAO: Ah yes, 'Brevity is the soul of wit' ... :sneaky:

I tell you ... if this had happened 10 years ago ... I wouldn't be a happy camper ... but today, moving up my retirement by two years, as this thing does, is a MOST WELCOME development ... :beer::hug::coolsmiley:

The form is just a way to organize the information for the reader. The analysis and narrative comments made on the form reflect the skillset of the appraiser

Calling an appraiser who uses a form a "form filler" is inane.
