Due to a request from Dave Smith I have set up our first user group, this one for ACI (Appraiser's Choice) appraisal software. An ACI user group exists at Yahoo but Dave and some of the other users felt that the pop up ads and other issues with Yahoo made it less user friendly than the forum software we use.
So we have set up an ACI users group here for those who are interested. It is a forum that works just like our other forums, just that you must elect to join the group before you can read or post to the group. It is an open group which means that anyone that asks to join will be admitted. Dave will be the moderator for the ACI Group.
This group is located at the bottom of the forum index under "User Groups".
To join the ACI User Group:
1. First you must be a registered with AppraisersForum.com. If not registered click the "register" icon at the top of each page and follow the instructions.
2. After you are registered AND you have received the activation email indicating that your registration is active, click the "user group" icon or this link: http://appraisersforum.com/forums/groupcp.php
3. Select the "ACI" Group and click "view information". Click the "join" button and that's all you have to do! The moderator (Dave Smith) will need to approve you, and you will get a confirming email. All request from registered AppraisersForum.com users will be approved.
4. After you get your approval email for the ACI user group you will be able to post messages and read messages from the group. It works just like any forum. You do not have to do anything else special. Your forum log in serves also as the group log in.
If you ever want to leave the group click on the "user groups" icon, and under the ACI group there is a "unbsubscribe" button.
Let me know if there are any questions or problems with this.
