and I and my staff have had files corrupted (permanently lost) right at the end of the report writing process (like, when saving the file after applying the signature).

I know what you mean, it ****ed me off especially after I write a nice long narrative contents in an addendum and somehow the program crashes and unable to save it. I had inumerous times in the past at a point I called ACI (of course I waited for the next available tech support for half an hour) and complained about that, but the only thing they suggested is to write it and keep saving it every minute or so.

Thanks for your opinion, it just reinforced my decision to go with WinTotal this time. I was thinking about the networking too, I always wanted to use my notebook along with the inspection so I could use the time during inspections.

I think she means that many of our software providers read our message boards and are members of the forum. Your post would suggest a potential lead. I seem to recall a wintotal associate mentioning something about appraisersforum one time, possibly about a specific thread although my memory is somewhat foggy.

Dave Biggers is a classy guy when it comes to helping the industry. How many software company Chairmans will show up for a state board meeting to speak in support of the industry? Dave did. ( I also have to mention Wayne Pugh, he is a past AI president, and owns SFREP, he has been an advocate to us as well)

A La Mode is better software than anything on the market. The new total is going to be something special. If you want cutting edge technology, you can't do better.

Then they probably knows who I am, since I called them up yesterday.
But I think it's good to hear what the real users think of these softwares and also it's an opportunity for the tech guys come and improve on behalf of hardworking appraisers.
