ACI licenses exist on desktop and laptop.
Desktop failed and so the hard drive was downloaded to the laptop.
Now ACI spins, shutting down about 40% of the time, in response to numerous functions/keystrokes/activities.

ACI took over the screen and cleaned up the process so it is much quicker, although the spinning & shutting-down continues. ACI tech support (various technicians) are unable to help further. So I ran disk defrag/optimization but the situation didn't improve.

My productivity is affected especially because changes often aren't saved when ACI closes unexpectedly.

Advice?

I have had nothing but GOOD luck with ACI.

What's your system you're running ACI on, i.e. computer configuration and operating system?

Speaking with an ACI tech support rep earlier today about a difference matter, I asked him if he might know any solutions that his colleague hadn't already suggested. I will post his recommendation, which involved checking a few checkboxes that I don't remember, which got the system running PER-FECT-LY. More to follow ASAP.

I ran clickforms for years. I do not recall a single crash. I did call support to move the program from an old computer to a new one. I recall problems with most of the others I trialed (Day One, Alamode), SFREP was as flawless as my last DOS program but Clickforms worked fine. I no longer use any software except my own WordPerfect templates and a crash is extremely rare there as well. Homputer didn't crash was was rather slow to me.
