Now that Pheonix Mobile is dead, anyone using ACISky. I bought it last week, I appears to be pretty good stuff, but I have trouble uploading my images from the field. I can work everything else I tried. There have been a couple jobs I was able to upload my pictures, but that has been the exception. I live in a suburban area where I do not have problems with sending or importing large files from my phone. While I have a decent connection, I just cannot upload pictures into this program. I believe I am doing the proper things of working the program, because I work it at home with my wifi, but that defeats the purpose of mobile appraising.

I wrote called ACI tonight, got a person who had to type in and check each question I had (poorly trained or new.) I wrote an email of my dissatisfaction with the help received and program thus far and in return got an email telling me to buy a device with internet connection. This is starting to remind me of some very bad days during last last couple years of DayOne.

I've fired several clients for using Sky for delivery. Anyone else that decides to use it will also find themselves short another experienced appraiser.

Client using ACISky? I know some use ACI delivery and I won't use that anymore because of the ridiculous burden to the delivery.

From the sounds of things, I think that there may be some confusion on the part of the respondents regarding which "ACISky" the original OP is referring to. There is some confusion due to the fact that the newest cloud based suite of ACI has the same name as the program and portal that clients use for getting reports uploaded to them (even non-ACI reports, if I'm correct).
Personally, I cannot think of a good reason why I would want to use software that was any more cloud based than what I do now, except possibly because that is the way its all heading anyway. I'm just hoping that old age will catch up to me before the inevitable time when we simply get to bite off a small bit of piecework from the chain of user and rental fees that takes us one more step away from our personal control of our work. But to each his own.
As far as the portal goes, I have a question elsewhere on this forum concerning to what extent it is part of ACI or the client. While it would be nice to fire clients that used it, that would mean the loss of 80% of my AMC work (although one has recently effectively fired Sky themselves).
