How much has ACORN contributed to the current mortgage crisis? It appears this group uses tactics which amount to shakedowns to get their way with lenders and politicians. Recently a group bolted into U.S. Rep. Christopher Shays’ office in Bridgeport making demands. The media is afraid to confront them and they basically look the other way. Is there no controlling the actions of these groups which do nothing more than rob the taxpayer?

Houses for nothing, money for free. I'd say they are one of many who jumped on the bandwagon. Lenders were afraid of them. Look how much they supported Frank and Dodd. Follow the money.

Let us not forget ACORN's ongoing legacy of submitting so many voter registrations, that the hundreds they submit that are fake/false/fraudulent are simply overlooked.

The Durham County (NC) board of elections has an open investigation into questionable ACORN-submitted voter registrations right now, today. So at least SOMEONE SOMEWHERE is looking into their less than scrupulous actions.

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for Durham NC to uncover any corruption.:rof:

Well seems no one is going up against them!! ALL we do is B!+(H on here but seems no one wants to get any real Activism going.

Mortgage crisis or Financial crisis? There is a big difference.
