Adobe substitute

Resizing a large file necessitates a pretty good program.

When I finally had to get Windows 11, my older Adobe program wouldn't install. I went with PDF-XChange Editor. I've had it about a year and it does everything I need for PDFs. $75 permanent license.

That's what adobe wants you to think.
I have had at least 6 pdf writers. I found only 2 that resized besides Adobe. If the others resized a large file, they hid the menu very well. Foxit will also resize.

I tried a couple of the cheaper versions last year and didn't like them. Found PDFGear on another forum and have been using it for a few months. It is currently free but will probably move to a paid version in the future. It's easy to use and has good split /merge /compress features.
