Find an appraisal group and meet with them. Expand your repertoire by getting certified as a home inspector, and check with insurance companies for underwriting and damage inspections. Don't depend upon appraising unless you have a specialized skill like Marine Surveyor, agri appraising, timber valuer, Antiques valuer, proof mark appraiser (machine and gun valuation) There is only a marginal opportunity in home appraising.
