As the Appraiser's Good Book says: "Wherever 2 or more of you are gathered".... there is BOUND to be an arguement.... or at least a difference of opinion... :rof::rof:

I'm pretty easy - Oceanside is fine with me. Choked on an oyster shooter there once. Luckily my dining companion was able to perform the Heimlich on me.

Funny story - when I told my kids about it, the first question they both asked was "Did anybody SEE?" Never mind mom could have died, but oh how hysterically funny if people had witnessed it!!!

That's funny Nancy

Sounds like something I would do and like the reaction I would get out of my kids. So I'm thinking, Fri, June 2nd, 7 PM, somewhere in Oceanside. How does that sound so far? I don't know of any restaurants in Oceanside so I'm open to suggestions.

I don' think we'll argue...that's what the forum is for - haha!

Sounds fine to me, provided we can find a decent place to meet. I know some parts of Oceanside aren't too nice. Anybody out there have some suggestions? I looked on Yahoo Yellow Pages, and although Killer Pizza from Mars and Nautical Bean sound intriquing, I think maybe something less exotic (read: What The ????) may be in order.

How many people do we have on board? I know Cindy said that day is out for her and I haven't seen anyone else say a definate "YES! I'm in".

Oceanside

I'm not so sure about Oceanside either. I was leaning more toward San Clemente, but I was nervous that since it is in close proximity to my home, someone might think I was just trying to make it convenient for myself....Maybe I think too much! Let's wait until Thursday to hear from Curt, Bill, George and anyone else who might be interested, then finalize everything. I can't wait to meet some fellow AFers!

Even though I can't attend this time, I did think Oceanside was a good choice. When my daughter went to U.C. Irvine, that was about the halfway point.

I'm not terribly familiar with the fine dining in Oceanside. However, 5 miles south of there is a nice patio resturaunt with great food and drinks and live music. Might be too loud if you REALLY want to talk... Coyote Bar & Grill. 300 Carlsbad Village Drive, Carlsbad, (760) 729-4695

Sounds cool

Will we be able to talk a little though? Talking is great fun.
