While they insist that global warming is real, the thermometers didn't get the message. The temperature range over long periods of time appears to vary ever so slightly according to ocean currents, solar activity and the distance from the sun.

What ever is going on, I approve. My grapes finally froze last week, the only night we have had below 32 since spring. I haven't had any luck finding out if their apparent attempt at a second crop of fruit for the year was normal, though.

We have a crapload in central Ohio and it is a balmy 44 degrees right now. The best you could do is concentrate them in the northern states. But that would come with it's own set of problems, including electricity supply during the cold months when heating of homes becomes an issue

You don't have a real "winter". We have already had below freezing temperatures and our first snow

In Iceland, electricity is cheap. Plentiful geothermal energy sources.
However, I didn't see any EV cars. Maybe EV cars too much trouble in a cold environment?

Tesla is one of the best selling brands in Scandinavia and Iceland. I think the Model Y is the best selling car in Sweden and Norway followed by Volvo and Toyota. Iceland also has a lot of heavy duty trucks and SUVs. Land Cruisers and other large 4x4s were everywhere when I went.
