I know it would take up too much space to put in every year going back to 2000 but I wish they would put 2006 and 2000 in there for reference.

that's a part of it but i wouldn't guess a majority share. i personally know 6 people who hold an active license/certification and take CE courses each year but none of them have performed an appraisal in a few years (we are all on similar renewal schedules so i see them each year in class). according to the local instructor there are a lot of people who fall into that same boat. they have their license/cert and the "hard work" is done so it makes sense to take 2 one-day classes each year to keep it active just in case.
 
The only reason you'd keep a license in dormant mode is because there's not enough work to make it worth your while to use it.

A lot more "employee" appraisers than I thought.
 
When did "Chief" appraisers become their own category?
