To my fellow AI Members and other appraisers.
It looks like the AI leadership is finally making the results of a two+ year project team study available to the general AI membership (and to other non AI members) as to their intended recommended future plans.
Based on the quick scan of the results, they are suggesting some very big chances to the Chapters (in maximum number and to their size). Also, the proposed elimination of the Regions is very huge. Regions, as a whole, to most members of the AI are misunderstood and not sensible financially.
I believe the AI leadership heard very loudly the feedback of Chapter financial consolidation on a national basis. The power point presentation certainly brings to light that the AI is operating under very old attitudes toward the future. Membership will likely decline and this communication hopefully shows that the leadership of today and for the future of the AI must acquiesce to the new way of thinking as to how appraisers will operate to survive as an organization.
