Unfortunately, AMC's (and many appraisers) think that by forcing appraisers to sign something (like a release) under the threats of economic ruin or the with-holding of future business, somehow clears the AMC from any and all liability.

I suspect what they are trying to convey is that you were not engaged by anyone in loan production and that you were not coerced.

How is an Appraiser to know who is and is not Loan Origination OR Supervised by such when you work with numerous lenders?

When did it become the Appraisers job to track jobs and job descriptions?

I agree with Lost Cause. What they are trying to say and what they said are very different. Your suspicion requires interpretation. A legal document should not be so open to interpretation. Any attorney worth their weight could argue the certification claims much more.

Ever wonder how many ES Appraisal reports when out with Certifications to Air, which in part, certifies that they were paid in a timely manner?

You can do it, but disclose the coercion to do it, as your pay check is tied to doing it.
