Has anyone transitioned from Ala mode to Homeputer?
Is the learning curve difficult.

I never found Homeputer to be real easy...transitioning is an issue as you need to forget how you used to do it

Mr. Homputer is a ####### imnsho, but that doesn't really matter.
Software appears to me, to be DOS based, with maybe a Windows 3.11 overlay.
If you don't remember Windows 3.11, c.1993, it came on something like Twenty 3.5" floppy disks.

Now you're going to want to know what a floppy was, and no, it has nothing to do with ******.

You are taking three steps back.

Is it a money thing? Try Clickforms, probably half the price of the other guys.

If it's a money issue and you still need to convert reports every now and then JTip's suggestion is spot on. But depending on your needs Homeputer may serve you well, it was well worth the money when I used it 15+ years ago. Good luck

I recently gave homeputer a quick try. Its certainly noticeable that its based on older technology, but that doesn't mean it can't get the job done. Its just not as shiny. Like any software change there is going to be a learning curve.

For me I decided to wait another year or so to make any software changes. Alamode should be releasing their Titan online software this year sometime. If the price is reasonable this will be the direction I go so I can drop Windows. If not I hope to see the new release from SFREP/WCA in the next year as well. The re-write promos they have on Youtube look very promising. Clickforms has been very quiet about any software updates apart from their new inspect it software, but I wouldn't be surprised if we hear they are working on a cloud solution or forms update as well. So I decided to just hang tight and see what the next year brings.

I didn't like that Homeputer didn't have a free trail period as other venders do, but I found the owner easy to work with and he was prompt in refunding my purchase after I told him I wasn't going to use his product at this time.

Seems like they update every month with new forms or something. They have the apl based inspect it, redstone and some other add-on items.

There's only so much you can do with reporting on a form.

CF is like my old Jeep. It's reliable, dependable and works every time.

I'd give you a Jeep wave, but I can't find the icon on this forum. (I drive a 2005 Rubi Unlimited)

I agree their form software is pretty solid. There really is little need for Clickforms to update their forms. The only reason I have come across for Clickforms to update the current software is that the current software doesn't seem to handle scaling that well with a 4k monitor. Its something I've been looking into recently so its on my radar. Other than the 4k scaling, I think Clickfroms is very solid. I actually would have switched already if alamode didn't have Titan just around the corner. Since I use Linux I am anxious to get away from Windows. I'm not sold on the cloud, but it seems to be my only escape route from Windows. With alamode creating Titan and I think ACISKY is a partial cloud solution, I wouldn't be surprised if Clickforms released a cloud version too.

1996 Cherokee Sport. Straight 6, on the fly 4x4, smells like high school...... :) Sitting at 165k miles, I can't bring myself to let her go.

Nice. I like those old Cherokees too. Inline 6 and solid axles. New vehicles just don't have the same character.
