Signed up with Alamode in 2014 for $349 per year guaranteed no price increase for 10 years. Just got email notice saying price is increasing to $399. Called Alamode and got someone on the phone who pretended to shuffle papers around for a couple of minutes until saying 'Unfortunately' there is nothing he can do. Says he's worked there for 4 years and never heard about this before. Yea, sure. Anyone else run into this problem?

Edit - They called me back and said I was locked in at $349 for 10 years and corrected the billing

Like they say “dance with the devil and you’ll get burned”. It was inevitable that they would increase. I suppose once in ten years isn’t too outrageous, just hope it doesn’t continue.

Corelogic bought Alamode and yes I had the same thing. #*^%*#$!

Yup...they increased the subscription price all the while removing previously included features.

I signed up for that $349 deal too. My subscription comes due in Dec. We'll see what they do. I am already looking at other software though. I really like the new SFREP Appraise-it Pro. But it does lack some of the features of Total. Which makes it hard to pay more. But I'll be happy to not support CoreLogic.

Corelogic must be increasing prices to justify the unwelcome weekly updates they now provide. I am so sick of their damned updates.

Yeah, and all the updates seem to fix problems that I never noticed. But the issues that I noticed going all the way back to 2011 are still there. It was just poorly written software right from the beginning.

Having just done a serious evaluation of all the software options, I think that SFREP currently has the best software. Unfortunately, its also one of the most expensive and has the least features.

I subscribed to Clickforms when they had a big Cyber Monday sale. I got their top of the line product for around $440 if I remember correctly. That included the Redstone package as well as RapidSketch. So I'll give that a good try for the next year. But Clickforms really feels dated, so I'm still considering switching to SFREP next year.

In regards to the $349 10 year guarantee. Unfortunately I had to renew Total to complete some work that was needed in a rush. They did not renew at that price, but when I called them, they did apply a $50 credit to my account. Not that its of much value if I don't renew next year.

This is exactly why I quit using Total over 15 years ago. The issues that were there from the get-go were never fixed, but they are quick to add more bells and whistles. After three years, I switched to Clickforms, been with them ever since.
