Hello, everyone. Welcome to the Alamode User Group Board. Everyone is welcome here even those using other programs. Our purpose is to discuss Alamode software, assist each other in using the program, and making suggestions for improvement of the program.

There are no rules other than those for the Appraisers Forum in general. My job is to see things run smoothly and that postings are Alamode software oriented. Feel free to PM me any time. :D

I noticed that the quicklist items that are present in my "old" URAR do not carry over to the new version of the URAR. Alamode confirmed that today in a phone call. I called Bradford & Robbins, and they told me that their quicklist items will be available in the new URAR. Why can't the same thing be done in the a la mode software?

I'm a relative newbie to the forum as I've not been an active poster. However, it seems strange to me that this post is on the Bradford thread ... is there a Bradford thread on the Alamode thread?

I just got a call saying that I have to pay $300 every year to maintain my software. Is this true or am I getting scamed.

Alamode charges $300 per year for the service contract. (Tech support, updates, flood map information, census, and maps)

I am just looking in to the Alamode software, coming from a long use of a competitor since 1997. We all know that transferring all your information can be a pain to say the least. Any comments on how quickly this will be up and running (correctly) or comments on transferring information from my old program into the Alamode system. Thanks for helping!!

Teri, I believe that Alamode has made an effort to make the conversion from one vendor's software to theirs easy. No change is ever easy. The installation of the software is quick and easy. Updates are almost behind the doors and you never seem to have any problems.

I never really worried about moving over data or details. The facts are that the market changes so much that anything over about several months old is really out of date. Canned statements really shouldn't be of a concern and it may even be time to update those to reflect new data & comments.

I switched form SFREP to alamode a about a year ago. Alamode is very good at importing my old reports. I then could clone them and save comments to the quick list. Also save the copmps used. I never did try to copy a comp data base I just saved the comps from old files. It went pretty smoothly.

2 years ago I went from WCA to Alamode. Smooth as silk.

Subscription based extortion. We have to pay for them to keep it working. Brilliant!
