Hello. Been a lurker for quite a while, but now I am going to post a question.
Several months ago, alamode started soliciting for me to purchase an x-site from them.
I put it on my credit card, and... even though I see sites of people who already have theirs up and running, I am STILL WAITING!
If this is how they do it, I'll be lucky to have a site up by 2103.
Last time I saw somebody this slow, they were filling in his grave. Any one else have this problem?

By the way, I called alamode tech support today. The man that helped me was professional, courteous, and in a good mood, as he told me that he could do nothing and I'd just have to wait my turn(?!?) and be patient.

Mine is up and running. www.residentialappraisalservice.com It is kind of generic, but it beats the pre-historic web site I used to have. Alamode also lets you add and delete pages if you want. Please feel free to browse, crtique and boast how your web site is bigger and better.

Hey Tim, I knew I wasn't very "original" not long after I named my company, but your company name is the same as mine!!! Not to say that you weren't "original" first! Just kidding....anyway...

Anyway there is another one in south Florida and I got one of their checks one time - I sent it back but spent hours explaining it to the lender. They didn't grasp the concept. Anyway, if you get a strange check...send it my way!

I have the same problem with my company name "Affiliated Appraisers, Inc." Seems my clients always manage to pay a company in Indiana with the same name!

I just want to know how I got the .com name before anybody else. the .org too. Mr. Senter's company name is the same too. No, I am not the original, that was the best I could do on that day. By the way, the house picture on the web site is my home.

Mike,

How about 'Affiliated Colorado Appraisers, Inc' ACA for short?

That would solve the missing check issue and keep you near the front of the yellow pages.

Check out the web sites by our Forum Leader. In fact, I'm finally going to have a chat with Wayne about doing mine over during our Orlando meeting.

Free Web Designs

I spent a while looking for simple, inexpensive site building tools for my wife's school.

www.tripod.com

Free websites with small ads. $4.95 a month with no ads. $8.95 a month includes your own domain name (e.g. www.numberhitter.com).

All come with a - really - simple way to build your own site. Don't believe me? Choose the free plan and try it for yourself. Nothing to lose.

MIKE,

SINCE I HAVE THE SME NAME(AFFILIATED APPRAISERS, SINCE 1976)

JUST HAVE THEM SEND THE CHECKS TO ME

ED IN ARKANSAS

Mark I do web pages on the side and their no reason for it to take that long. (And no I am not trying to get you business.)

I suggest you cancel that and get someone like Wayne to do you a web page. If you want to add of change something like you email address do you want to wait on them to change it?? If it is taking this long to get it up and they make make a mistake on it. when would it get corrected Get your money back and hire a real person that knows what he or she is doing.

I don't do a lot but no way would my customers accept that kind of service and neither should you!!
