Alerts button/tab seems to be an issue

Wayne, these last couple of days when I hold my mouse over the "Alerts" (that little bell looking thing) it shows the alerts
I click on it - usually/normally then gives me the drop down of recent alerts, etc

But these last couple of days, I've had to click on it, then it takes me to the "Alerts" kind of "homescreen" instead of just allowing me to click on the "alert"
Not a major deal, just was wondering if anyone else is experiencing this as well

Same here - and also I've noticed that the emoji button on posts also has not worked intermittently over the past week. (And wouldn't you know it, it works now. )

Try clicking on it again. I had to click twice before it took me to the new posts.

It's being hit and miss for me. Mostly miss
I click on the "Alerts" bell up next to the PM and Search (top right of screen). Most of the time it's bringing me to the full blown Alerts page instead of just giving me the drop down
It's not a major issue, but I will be honest, slightly annoying. All other tabs and even the threads are single clicks and working fine

Same issue here. That and disappearing photos. I can't see the photos I post during posting. Only after I post will it appear. Seems more an issue on my Windows 10 machines, not so much my Windows 7

Its possible but its a sporadic problem. For example, on this thread, I can use emojis like this . But on every other thread I have posted on the past few days including just moments ago, I can't get the emoji box to pop up when I click on the emoji logo when trying to post. Same thing for the "Alerts" feature. Most of the time the past week I can't get it to work correctly, just like bmpappraisal explained above.

I just tried several different browsers to check the response. This issue appears to be specific to Chrome. Microsoft Edge and Firefox appear to be fine.

No, they are not. I use Firefox (though not the latest version as I don't like that one) and have been having the same problems as bmpappraisal has discussed above, as well as with the emojis, intermittently over the past week.
