I am suspicious of a Robot call I got today, from this company.

They are claiming US Banks wants to meet local appraisers for a Fee Panel during their seminar. I only know US Bank to deal with AMC's and staff appraisers.

Is there an advantage to attend?
Yes, U.S. Bank is dedicated to engaging the best appraisers who produce the highest quality and most credible appraisal reports. They believe their training will be informational and the content to be very timely and relevant. They also want to hear from you, the local appraiser in the field. U.S. Bank wants to be the best bank to work for and they deem your input valuable to building a mutually beneficial relationship.

I have received similar emails. I am skeptical. I assume they will promise work ( volume ) for a reduced fee.

I'm not going. :peace:

There are threads on here about it.

You get continuing ed hours in some states, so if yours is 1, why not?
I'm just waiting for it to come to my state. :icon_mrgreen:

Does the two hour segment being taught by Mark Linné of Bradford Technologies count toward the CVR Training?

No. The Bradford CVR Training is completely different. Mr. Linné was asked to speak at the event to share his ideas and vision for the appraisal industry.

This is the email I got:

Get ready to become the most sought after appraiser in America.

As you know, there is a growing demand for statistically supported appraisals. What is not well known is that there is so much pent-up demand, that US Bank (the fifth largest lender) is now holding conferences in10 cities across the country to recruit appraisers who can provide statistically supported appraisals. They are not the only lender who looking for appraisers with this skill set.

We are the company that started this movement. And we will continue to lead it. As part of this initiative, we have added the power of statistical analysis to ClickFORMS and now we are embarking on one of the most ambitious projects we have ever undertaken.

We are going to teach every one of our ClickFORMS users how to produce statistically supported appraisals.

In the next three months, we are holding 78, 2-day classes in 65 cities. We have recruited some of the best appraisal instructors in the country. We have created one of the finest curriculums ever developed to teach applied statistics. During those 2-days, you will learn how to skillfully and confidently use statistics and apply regression analysis to support your value conclusions.

The best news is that your cost for this amazing class is only $79. Yes, you read this correctly! It used to cost $100s more. But if you register before the end of March, your cost is only $79.

We expect these seats to fill up rapidly, so please do not delay in signing up.

When US Bank had their meeting in Cincinnati last week it was well attended by 75+/- appraisers. They are trying to bypass the AMC and are interested in reliable reports. They don't care what the appraiser charges tham as long as it's C & R. The CVR data was on the second day. Most appraisers attended both days but some only attended the first day for 7 hours CE.

I have done work for US Bank

Tom is utilization of the CVR mandatory, cost to the Appraiser? Is registration with the "Somewhat Opaque/Clear Box" also mandatory?
