Am I being ripped off???

My appraiser will eventually have to sign the log and cannot deny the documentation I have compiled showing that I have done the work. Hopefully, an agreement will be reached before it comes to that. I don't want an enemy, I just want what is fair.

Sadly that may be difficult to achive in an ethical manner: trainees COST the mentor. And place a hardearned livelihood at risk.

I disagree that is difficult to acheive in an ethical manner. Here is an ethical option: Don't take on a trainee if you cannot afford to do so. To take one on knowing you cannot afford one and lead them to believe they will be treated fairly is just unethical. That's very simple to do.

Alex,

Do you have any proof of the appraisals that you helped with? Does he put your name in the report (a.) either in an addendum or (b.) have you ever signed one? If not he is in the wrong...If so you do have proof and I dont see how he would be able to refuse signing your experience log. What is his "reason" for not paying you??? Does he even bother to give one...And have you asked yet?

What a terrible situation...

Another thing if you have signed and/or are metioned in any of the reports I would print a copy and keep them for your records if don't have them saved in your computer at home already!
