Just received a UW condition request for a rear photo of a condo. I told them fine but there will be a trip fee. Now they are asking why an additional fee and that I should have provided a rear photo in the original report. The rear of this condo is the front of another condo. I have never taken such a picture and find it extremely odd and outside of what is typical. Of course this is a 30-40 minute ride. Am I wrong, should I be providing this picture?

I would provide the photo and not charge a trip fee.

I would provide it, at no cost. I would have included it initially, even if the rear of the subject is the front of another, then explained the situation.

I always take front and back of condos.

The rear of the condo is actually the rear of the abutting condo. :-( Not the front of the abutting condo. That's someone else's property. I'm not sure I would have included a "rear" photo either.

I always try to give more than is needed than deal with difficult underwriters. :icon_mrgreen:

Not only do I do my best to get a rear shot, but I also try to get a shot of the roof. Surprise assessments can be a *itch.

I would have included a rear even though the condo buildings appear to be back to back based on your description....or I would have taken a picture of the side where the two buildings meet. No trip fee. I think its standard operating procedure.
