Well, Tom, I posted another thread about how to get business. I guess I missed your response. I'm struggling to get by right now, and I'm willing to do whatever to make a living. If you have any advice, I'm listening.

ryder, this is the hidden curse of our business. you will have several good years, then get hit with a big slow down. and if you haven't saved for that day, it will hammer you. i've been thru this many times, and i have been really hurt in the past. i started so long ago, when i called it the garden of eden appraising. there isn't much you can do because in this small pond, there are a lot of fish now and a business model where you are only a number. if you can find some side thing to pay your bills, it will cycle back again. but, from what i'm reading about fannie. this business will be very done in a couple of years. i have been around so long that lenders call me to do appraisal work for them. but it is slow for now, unless trump wins, interest rates will not go down.
