If Hal is lurking or if someone knows him, please pass on some unintended consequences of complex assignments.

In several podcasts, he keeps mentioning that he likes doing complex assignments. Easy ones gets bored. allegedly...does he know what we all know but just does not want to say it out load? .code words..warning us?allegedly....the number of appraisers in the coming years will be greatly reduced. The easy ones are going away.

complex assignments probably accounts for 20% of assignments. How many appraisers will be needed to appraise complex properties? 10-20k?

That's an actual award?

Yay! Sign me up to the AMC of the year! NOT....

Accurate Group is an appraisal management company (AMC) that has received mixed feedback from appraisers regarding work conditions, management, and company culture.

  • Work Environment & Culture: Reviews from platforms like Indeed and Glassdoor highlight a high-pressure environment with unrealistic production goals, long hours (often 45–55 hours per week), and stressful work-life balance. Some employees describe a dysfunctional team structure and a lack of corporate culture, with favoritism and limited advancement opportunities.
  • Remote Work & Flexibility: A positive aspect noted by some is the ability to work remotely and flexible PTO, which some find beneficial despite the workload.
  • Management & Support: Feedback is divided. While some appreciate management with real appraiser experience, others report poor communication, lack of HR support, and no accountability—with one former employee stating the office was located in a private home, creating an awkward and unprofessional atmosphere.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Appraisers report affordable single coverage health insurance, but costs rise significantly with dependents. The 401(k) match is low (around 2 cents on the dollar), and benefits are not comprehensive. Some also mention unpaid overtime due to increasing daily targets.
  • Overall Sentiment: The company’s overall rating on Indeed is 2.8 out of 5, based on 24 reviews, with many employees describing it as “alright but nothing special” or worse. A Glassdoor review from a current employee gives it a 3.0, citing professional coworkers and flexibility, but also high stress and long hours.
In summary, while Accurate Group offers remote work and fair pay for some, appraisers frequently cite excessive workload, poor management, and lack of support as major drawbacks.

Voting Process
The winners are determined through a two-stage community-driven process:
  1. Nominations: Industry professionals submit nominations for peers and companies who demonstrate outstanding leadership and professionalism.
  2. Public Voting: Anyone within the appraisal industry—including appraisers, lenders, and software providers—can vote on the presented finalists
