America's richest generation got much richer in recent decades as everyone else fell behind

Just came back from dinner with wife. Restaurant could have been a Michelin star. Excellent 6 course meal.
Total bill came $283.50 with 20% tip included. $43.20 tip with not tax needed to file for server. Nice for him.
By the way, server had strong Spanish accent. Kind of hard to understand when he was describing the dishes.

Not a 20% tip if the total bill with tip was $283.50. Less than a 20% tip in a restaurant you compare to a Michelin Star restaurant is a cheapskate tip

$283.50 included tax and tip. I'm sure this Japanese restaurant will get a Michelin star one day. Best sashimi I ever had. It melted in my mouth.

I've had a trustee obligation for a relative the last 4-years. I put the assets in a money market fund that earned 5.25% for years, super safe. Who's to blame? The Fed kept interest rates high to profit the banks and the 'rich.' About 47% of the household earn over $100K, they are doing great. The under $100K and under $50 K household are doing worse. Thanks Biden.

I ate Potbelly's. Used a BOGO perk. Got 2 Wrecks with hot peppers, oil, and seasoning. $9.99 + tax. No tip. Best toasted sandwich ever. The peppers burned my mouth.

Some servers and bartenders can make over $200 in tips in one shift.
I don't run in these circles anymore but there were restaurants where the wait staff PAID the restaurant for each shift that they worked. That's how lucrative the tips were.

They are using AI agents to take your order and the only service you get is someone handing you your order over the counter of through a drive up window.
AI kiosks are handy when NONE of the workers speak English. The only thing worse than ordering at a kiosk is trying to communicate with a counter worker.

Totally agree or even a local who can't speak proper English (no, I don't want a "fry" I want plural fries, is this really so hard). I'd rather deal with an AI in this scenario.

You prefer robots than humans.
With high cost of labor, companies are going to machines to replace humans.
Like in the appraisal field.
