ANB financial failure according to an ex lender I met today was on the brink of having indictments against officers of the bank had they not been bought out. Curious. Potentially indictments will be meted out yet.

A suit against the Board is class action.

Terrel, I have heard this as well.

See Thursdays Nwa Morning News.
They Not Only Did Not Inform The Non Insured Depositors But Were Taking Money From The Employees And "wasting" It.
What Is So Sad, These Guys And Gals Originally Had Enough Money To Last A Lifetime.
Greed Breeds Greed.

Paper has it that some former employees are now suing the board claiming mismanagement cost them their 401k pensions.

Another note. Some folks got their Credit Cards thru ANB and the FDIC drug their feet with the bankers using that service over settling that issue. The FDIC stiffed one bank on 5 prearranged conference calls over the issue of what to do with the cards they issued thru ANB....Yer goober mint at work....

BTW, for a history lesson, read a book called "Belly Up" about the collapse of Penn Square Bank and the botched management by the FDIC and Comptroller who fought each other and managed to further devalue the accounts they had taken over... Their defense of their high handed tactics? "We are not bankers, we are receivers of the bank." [see comments on the testimony before congress that was particularly critical of Wm. Isaac of the FDIC]
