The phone rings.

The LO that almost never calls me says: "You did an appraisal for us at 1234 High Priced Court last year for $350,000. "

"The new assessed value says its worth $410,000. Is it under appraised or over assessed? Can you get the value up to $360,000? "

I say: " I don't know and I don't know."

The LO says: "We need a new appraisal in three days. We have to close next Monday. It won't take you long. All you need to do is find three new comps. Can you help us out?"

Me: "No! You had better call someone else."

LO says: "OK."

I :D and go back to work.

But he gave you 3 days, said it wouldn't take you that long and told you all they needed was 3 comps!

I'm surprised he didn't tell you that you make too much--and your fee would be half!

Sounds like a typical first call in the morning. Mine was LO called the underwriter says need another comp the same age as the subject I said WOW I been holding onto this comp that is identical to the subject waiting to see if you'd call. Her reply well u can send us that one now. She is a good client & we did laugh after she finally caught on.
