These companies certainly sell really good windows and doors. But to imply a guaranteed 15% increase in home value by installing their products, probably deserves a bit of scrutiny.

In our markets, we find that various alternatives in replacement windows and doors, do very well in the market without the expensive branding.

Wood is kind of a has been in windows locally. I see new construction frequently.

I guess in a million-dollar house, wood may be most popular. I have my doubts and doubts about the estimate by this company.

A lot of companies do this. From roofing to flooring to whatever else.

Get an appraisal or two done a week before windows are installed. Get an appraisal or two done a week after windows installed.

Probably, win a lawsuit.

Better yet, find several and get a class action suit.

These 'renewal' windows are specifically made for the replacement market and are not the same quality as original Andersen. Also, they are a composite material, not a good quality wood frame, and their overall quality is suspect. Not to mention the hard sell by the contractors. I get at least one mailing a week for these overpriced, budget quality windows.

I would be surprised if they didn't have an appraiser on staff that will tell them anything they want to hear. Probably an MAI.
