ooohhh.... Just received a new $450 order on the portal. A 90 minute one way rural roller coaster trip. Looked it up.....ahhh, that's why nobody 'local' wants it...

15 bucks to you high priced appraisers is a drop in the bucket. i think they are being nice, 25 is a more rounded number.

Most of my orders on AP, from one bank client, have fees between $585 and $750 per order. Not sweating this increase in fee from AP. My main complaint with AP is that often I am not sent an email about a new order for 12-20 hours after the lender submits the order. Yeah, AP says its not us, talk to my email service provider. Since only AP emails are delayed, Time Warner says the problem lies with AP, not TW.

Interesting Greg....I have the same problem. Emails are delayed sometimes for HOURS. And some dont get bounced thru Gmail to my phone email. Some do. Sometimes they don't come in before the assignment gets yanked altogether for non-response. I suspected it was on FNC/AppraisalPort's end but have not spoken to them. Figured they would just tell me it was my fault - not theirs. I now just try to remember to log on every 10-12 hrs and check. I'll often find orders and/or messages that I never got emails about.

I'm with you tho...gotta be FNC's end....I use Time Warner as well and no other emails from any other source get delayed.

Anybody else got this issue?

I've dealt with AP problems by talking to AP's tech support and with the client's pipeline management people. I've found AP to be responsive. Being technologically less than sophisticated, I've used these as opportunities to try to understand that system rather than kicking against the goads.

I do only about 2 appraisals for Wells Fargo on AP per month. I stated my fees before I learned all orders would have to pass through AP. Guess I'll need.to raise fees about $20.

You can get Text alerts for new orders sent to your mobile phone. Even with that I have missed a few from LandSafe, now CoreLogic who places a new order with you that must be accepted in two hours or they pull it. If I am inspecting a large property or am out of data range I get the text, but have no way of accepting the order.

so suntrust charges a $25 fee and now ap wants $14. thats nothing to sneeze at! ST only pays $450 when i do one in a blue moon. think ill start countering at $489.
I've been getting $400-450 for driveby orders for one national client. These are some difficult appraisals though, and the client is tough on their reviews. (ie. last 2 orders were manufactured homes on 5+ acres in a area where there haven't been many sales/listings, and sites of 1 acre are the norm). I suppose there is still room for a fee bump, due to the escalating required delivery charge.
