ANOW

I’ve been with ANOW since Marty started it. Hated to see him sell out to Voxtur 2-3 years ago.

Chase may have the only viable replacement for their platform and abilities for an appraisal firm, but he’s much higher in costs.

I don’t know how the UWM portal change will impact ANOW but that will hurt them for sure, because they’ve made a ton of money from that arrangement. UWM is one of the most expensive client we have, but we build it into the fees we accept from them.

Thanks Dale. We actually end up being less expensive than Anow as our offering is comparable to their Grow plan (we don't hold back features like their Essentials plan). And especially for teams - we can end up being much more affordable. But I like to think we don't compete on price, but quality and service.

We also have a way to migrate from Anow so that you can bring over all of your historical data (orders, clients, etc) and hit the ground running: https://www.appraisalinbox.com/docs/guides/import-from-anow

(internally we call it "A-then", get it?)

I'll shoot you a direct message.

And you get to use stipe for direct deposit and a % fee for doing that. I quit that a while ago. Hopefully, with their new building blocks site, uwm will pay normal, they did with me, but maybe smaller charges now.
im trying to figure this out. you meant stripe-right?

Only $49 per month, plus, I think, some per-report upload fees and maybe some fees to pay you. To be expected as they own ANOW and rely on it to increase their profits. But be sure to always hit the number in time, or you will simply have another expense.
What do they pay for a typical 1004 report?

nothing now that I stood up for my fees and morals. They still call me but if they offer you a fee-say its your reasonable and customary $675 fee, be aware that you will be seeing $500-550 of that in your bank after all the fees they charge you for using the portal, gas tax, desk fee, direct deposit fee, low bidder fee, unrelenting slave fee, and the one that really gets me is the pencil sharpener fee.

ANOW......Don't they charge a ridiculous fee to do business with them? We don't need them. Tell them no and decline the work. If enough of us told them to F OFF we would have leverage.

Depends on what you mean. Using them for all your order management / scheduling is very reasonably priced (and I say that as a competitor). I assume you talking about their former deal with UWM where you're charged all sorts of fees to get orders from them?

You are correct. UWM is an armpit.

A portal such as ANOW ( if that is what it is) does not assign orders - it transmits orders if the client chooses an appraiser they approve on their list for the order, or in some cases, transmits a request for fee bids from a client.

I have never gotten an order from UWM, Idk if it is a scam or what -I applied once and said I was accepted and then never heard a thing back from them. None of the appraisers I know personally have ever gotten an order from there. If anyone actually gets orders and they actually pay well, good on you and hope they stay a client for you.
