ANSI required for exterior appraisals?

As you know I hate ANSI.
Is ANSI require for exterior FORM 2055?
I like to do the square footage breakdown under my judgement regarding above and below grade square footage.
I don't want do it the Fernando way.
 
FNMA only reqires the use of ANSI standards when there is a full inspection of the subject property. Come on man, it's been over a year since Fannie said, 'Use ANSI to calculate GLA'. It's not going away. Don't you think it's time that you actually took the time to learn it.

Forgie me, ANSI has so many arbitrary exceptions that it's hard to keep up.
