The original post is an example of where some get confused when inch and foot are used in the same sentence. The standard is nearest inch or 1/10th of a foot.I calculate in my head to the nearest 100th, but I round to the tenth. Your doing good to get the nearest 10th on measurements. Set your sketch software to round to the 10th.
You can measure and report more stringently than the standard but....... why? BTW.. not it's not 1/10th of an inch. As someone already said, over and over and over... the standard requires you to meashre and round to EITHER the nearest inch... OR.... the nearest 1/10 of a foot.Does the sketch have to show the measurements to be 1/10th of an inch or an inch or can it show 1/100 of an inch..?
I understand. Each 1/8 of an inch is close to 1/10. 1/8 inch is .08. You can multiply by inch for each 1/8 inch. Each 1/8 inch is .08 inch. The original post is an example of where some get confused when inch and foot are used in the same sentence. The standard is nearest inch or 1/10th of a foot.
