Then when you're ready to graduate out of preschool and know what you're actually doing;

Learn to use the PowerShell tool. Specifically for it's most basic automated function to check the integrity of you OS files.

sfc /scannow

Powershell - r click - run as administrator - sfc /scannow

It's that easy. Be sure to run a backup first though.

Run a disc check for good measure. chkdsk

Then rock a mirror image on a dedicated external hard drive.

Install SpybotS&D free for the immunization feature.

Use firefox with max restrictions on instead of edge or chrome.

Go to MS privacy settings. Turn everything off, line by line.

Explore the MMC microsoft management console - use the 'event viewer' to see what's really happening on your PC.
 
This seems not to have been updated in some time.
Doesn't need to be. Still works as intended for general deflection purposes. Simple track cleaning, and various other interesting features. A lessor known software from independents. But they've been on the scene since the start and have interesting tools. I've always found it helpful as a quick simple indicator of your pc health. Either everything down the line gets successfully immunized or it does not. If not, you know where to look. Much better track cleaning without the false indicators too.

Oh I see you're an IT guy. Well, tell me what you think of that, has always been helpful for me. Although I run completely solo, surely there are better tools for groups and such.
 
I'm still having a problem with McAfee pop up and then kicking me out. It only happens when I'm on AF.
 
Not sure if that McAfee pop up has anything to do with it but I can't see the full screen.
For same reason, the right corner vertical side can't be seen. Use to be a monitor icon in which I can change its size. Help!
 
I just click at the right corner and it's back to normal.
I'm good now. Thanks for y'all concern.
 
I have been using ESET for years but I have never read anything about it from experts or other users.
 
I've used ESET for years as well. Never had any problems or issues
