You guys should know by now that no good deed goes unpunished.
See what you get for trying to be helpful? :rof:

More opportunities out there than meet the eye. I know three local CG's looking for either a trainee or to turn their business over to someone. Servitude levels negotiable. :)
I'm revisiting this thread that started two months ago with a fellow newbie asking the perennial newbie question: How do you find a mentor? Having surfed through the forum, read the FAQ's (almost entirely) and getting a feel for what the industry as a whole longs for in new appraisers trying to enter it, I have this suggestion to make: use the forum and seriously consider joining the Appraisal Institute. The most significant benefit that you get from of these two resources is a network, a vital tool, as valuable in my opinion as any advice you'll find in search of the answer being sought within it...you will likely find people who know people in the industry who are willing to help connect you to possible opportunities that might be available, especially if you can verbally demonstrate some common sense and understanding about it...before I go, a sincere 'thanks' to someone on this thread (I won't mention by name) through whose assistance I was able to connect with someone in my area who, although not hiring, used his AI (Appraisal Institute) network to put me in touch with those who were...Ciao
