Hi all,
Currently in year 3 of looking for a sponsor.
PAREA, if it's real I can't find anything outside of the AI program that's $5K.
Realtors and Mortgage companies in my are speak often of the need for more appraisers. I'm done with the education requirements, reach out regularly to appraisers and get zero bites.
How does one find someone to sponsor these days?

People don't have enough business to hire / train people.

I would hire / train someone if I had enough business and revenue. But even then, having an employee is such a big responsibility.

Maybe some trainees will work for free....
Just to get the hours....

Cheaper by far to pay the AI for their PAREA course.

Rumor has it that its not an easy course to pass.

The reason is the AI got a kickback of 500K from the Appraisal Foundation, more or less eliminating anyone else wanting to offer the course.

Interesting CG is not in there. Don't you think?

Probably cost another $1,000,000 for CG to be in PAREA and PAVE. LOL

I don't even know the directors of PAVE and PAREA.

Who are these people?

If you are willing to move from Granbury to a more densely populated area, your opportunity to find a supervisory appraiser will increase.

There are big firms in Fort Worth and Dallas that have more opportunities for a trainee than what a one man shop can offer.
