Anyone sponsor anymore?

Maybe some trainees will work for free....
Just to get the hours....
Yes. And my last trainee was a working CR who wanted to upgrade. And I didn't regularly pay him and he only needed a few hours to finish, which I got for him and as a result he quickly was upgraded to CG. If I generated a residential work in his area, I just gave him the entire fee. He came down about once a week and frankly was as good an appraiser as I was, just didn't have the hours to pass.

Hi all,
Currently in year 3 of looking for a sponsor.
PAREA, if it's real I can't find anything outside of the AI program that's $5K.
Realtors and Mortgage companies in my are speak often of the need for more appraisers. I'm done with the education requirements, reach out regularly to appraisers and get zero bites.
How does one find someone to sponsor these days?
Since sales volume is so low, it's unlikely you will find a sponsor anytime soon. $5k and 18 months with PAREA is a bargain. I wish I would have had that when I started. I spent years working for slave wages (20% of the fee), and I signed a contract to pay more when I got licensed (this is common in this area, you have to pay for someone to train you), way more than $5k.

Even if you find someone to take you on as a trainee, you won't make enough to live on. You will still need another job.
