Got my licence about 3 months ago, talk about perfect timing lol. I've been added to a few AMC panels, half say they aren't accepting new appraisers, joy. I'm on with UWM which is the only thing keeping me busy. My ask for help is who are the other big AMC's I should be targeting? Who does Rocket Mortgage or Wells Fargo use? I'm in Northern California, thank you all for taking the time

What level of license? Are you on your own, or do you work for someone?

Pretty sure Rocket uses more than one. I'd probably get signed up with Class, Solidifi, and Opteum/Apex. I'd also recommend hitting up local banks and CU's.

This business is difficult when starting out. Especially with the market the way it is. My advice to you is..

1) Target who you want to work with and be persistent. You want to be in front of people when they eventually have a need.
2) Work 40 hours a week even if you have 0 orders. You have 1 or 2 orders in a week put in 40 hours anyways.

Check for contract work with a CAMA, or a ROW company that secures right of way for utility companies and municipalities.

You might want to find out the lenders who does many loans in your area.
Do you have fellow appraisers in contact?
One time while talking to him, he told me which local lender he was working with. Later I applied to that lender and got much business. I didn't tell my friend appraiser what I did.

Are you on the Mercury network. You have to be careful about some of the clients on Mercury. But I picked up one of my best clients from Mercury. Although it is an AMC. They are a small regional AMC. Fees are good and I get paid in less than 10 days. You can also pick up some direct clients. But you have to do your due dillegence. As always.
