The way I understand it a State approves continuing Ed and the ASB approves qualifying Ed. Am I wrong)

The ASB is not involved in approving education. Don't worry, there have been several in this thread who are not clear on the role of the ASB

Phil Crawford has put out a call to action to every appraiser to write a letter of recommendation for VaCAP President Pat Turner to be appointed to the Appraisal Standards Board. I don't know the guy but based on the video I watched he drew a big crowd of 20-25 of his own members to watch him get his appraiser of the year award. They called him the Godfather & Gladiator of appraisers, told some corny joke and looked like he is a good eater. Anyway maybe he is a good choice and maybe he's not. At some point I would like to see these committees get some younger blood because this almost looked like an awards ceremony for who is the oldest appraiser - Is That Virginia LIC#0004

LOL. That was ME when I was appointed. I was 36 when appointed to the ASB. Now, I am closer to the median age for appraisers.

The call for action is good, the causes are legitimate, and the passion is a great and wonderful motivator. I just don't think that aiming our cruise missiles at Peru is going to help us win in Afghanistan.
