I'll bet the org could cure whatever real problems they have in just a year or two.
 
Back to the OP. We have a new Pope and Aaron Rodgers has finally signed with the Steelers, but the appraisal institute still doesn't have a CEO.
Rodgers is a whack job. The franchise is a joke. The Pirates stink, and Crosby is getting old.
 
With you guys influencing anything, no wonder things go nowhere and the industry was rife for another repeat round of exploitation by ruthless financial criminals.

Keep on laughing it up chuckles, you're all up next. AMC's don't want just the gse space, they want it all. And they're going to get it too.

This Apprsl Insttt story came about because they picked someone to fill a position appearing to lead the org whom they thought would be controllable, and it blew back on them when she actually did her job properly and the truth about the AMC industry came out.

The entire appraisal industry is co opted except for a few last remaining pockets of resistance, actually ethical people whom live in the real world and still cherish honesty and consumer protection, independence over self dealing. Tell yourselves what ever excuses you want, continue to lie so much you believe yourself, fall back on unworkable legal theories and impossible hypothetical scenarios. The criminals won, and you all played a part in handing them the upper hand.

What are you going to do about it?


 
The irony here is that the only thing capable of dissolving Bert’s ego is a near-lethal dose of psychotropics.
It has nothing to do with ego. Traditional appraisal has a lot of hocus pocus based on so called “Experience”, matched pair analysis, simple regression and nothing more. Based on these methods that nearly all appraisers use in varying degrees, you can easily create conditions that demonstrate their lack of validity and resilience. How far can an appraiser push his adjustment for features such as design, condition, quality, and view? There is no limit really - you often only have his word for it. Good arguments can be made that it is nonsense. Completely objective arguments with mathematical proofs. A good example is that all adjusted values should be exactly equal for mathematical consistency - and since I started using RCA - mine are and as far as I have seen I am the only one that can claim that - so it is nothing more than a statement of fact. And I am absolutely certain you are as much of an idiot as the others.

If I have a personality defect - I am easy going - and don’t look forward to competition. So I call you and other appraisers idiots and love to hear you don’t agree with me and will keep going you’re merry way. I have too much to do in my remaining years and ….

You could say I don’t really care. I guess true in a way - but it is more that I am just covering my *** with a kind of. “I told you so. … many times ….” - and that I am convinced now that idiocy in the profession is so embedded, systemic, and widespread - that the final solution wiil be a complete replacement of the profession.

The only forum I have ever been kicked of, was this one for mentioning some idea about breaching forum security that Wayne just didn’t like - many years ago. I didn’t mean for it to be taken seriously - probably it was just an excuse because I was alway rubbing certain idiots the wrong way - and I would guess he was tired of the noise. Just a guess. Then some appraiser who had a forum and always kept me on it despite all the neg feedback retired and redirected his members to this forum - under I think certain conditions, just guessing.

I use the term “idiots” with respect to my expectations of what an appraiser should be - and given I think with respect to my expectations I would probably be an average or slightly better appraiser, depending on how hard I were to focus on the work - but I tend to get easily distracted and have a very hard time focusing on doing everything perfect the first time or rereading anything I have already written once because I can’t stand watching the same movie twice unless maybe I haven’t seen it for 30 years.
