Appraisal Institute Last-minute Shakeup

OK, you are the good old-fashioned, typical GSE residential appraiser. Maybe one of those with a hunched-over back, pale face, sickly look, from spending decades filling out forms. Now I am NOT on this forum to beat up on members like you for the hell of it. Too many in the past have gotten heart attacks early on and died, and I always feel bad about things I said to them - although I am pretty sure I did not contribute significantly to their misfortune.

No. I don't smoke. I hate cigarette smoke.
I run and lift weights.
I don't have plaque or dementia.
I try to eat well.
I don't waste my time on work that can be done better by a robot or computer.
I search out tools that make me more productive.

As a German would say: Wir sind nicht auf derselben Wellenlänge. Or, "we are not on the same wavelength."

But you should know that. So why respond to my posts? I will just get nasty with you, since I really don't want to deal with members who are not capable of reasoning logically.

ChatGPT has made it clear that your posts are bogus nonsense. So, as far as I am concerned, that is the end of the discussion with you.
The robot told you when your argument began, and then told you when the conversation ended.

That does not sound like independent agency over ones self to me.

Good thing your toy robot is not in charge of anyone elses credibility. You might want to re examine your own position though, as it's certainly influencing yours.

Who needs logical reasoning anyways?

Maybe try not getting your feelings hurt because I don't read your outsourced robot AI drivel you attempt to pass off as legitimate conversation. Maybe try truth instead?

Here it is. The allegations aren't really a surprise for those who have been paying attention.

Imagine that, the parea grads did not want to join. Who could have seen that coming?

Nothing good ever comes from texting.

Do you ever feel like the administrative class is simply grossly over paid? That it has unusual effects on character and esteem? Where do they find the time to send that many texts?

When does the 40,000 or more appraisers whom had their small businesses ruined because of these appraisal trade groups incompetent bafoons get to sue anyone for 'distress' or loss? Idiots.

Maybe the proper conduct necessary is to tell all the ladies to get back into the kitchen. Send the guys home they're clearly too old to make competent decisions in these matters anymore. Haven't they all earned enough to retire by now? How much do you really need? These people can't be real.

Don't worry. Nobody will go to jail and the hot doggin lawyers will win in the end.
 
It’s a dang shame, but people who want to dismiss the lawsuits and corruption at national are pushing the “he said, she said” narrative. They want you to forget that in the summer of 2024 Ms. Adomatis sent a letter as the insta-toot’s then president to the AQB supporting a periodic “recertification” for all licenses, is now serving on the AQB board, and is one of the few active insta-toot course instructors and developers. Yeah I know, I’m just a conspiracy theorist. Never mind all the “alleged” backroom dealing that has happened and has been exposed. All of that’s just coincidence.
I took Calypso this last time around and completed the USPAP online in less than an hour and a half. Same for all the other classes. If you sub to the coupons and strike during holiday deals you can double savings. Got all the hours for something under 400 dollars including USPAP if I recall.

Define content mastery.... I'll never attend a live USPAP again and only buy w/ coupons. Click and go through the same old class again.

Despite my state having administrative procedural rules that the USPAP manual is available free of charge at the public library, taf refuses to allow course providers to sell the class, uncoupled from the book. In a surprising twist of events, I also got a free brand new M&S book.

There may be something going on between AI and IDFPR that has been overheard at the water cooler. It involves the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR), a state agency that licenses and regulates financial institutions and many licensed professions, including real estate, in Illinois.

If anyone has specific details about this, please share them.
 
Once AI and TAF got a reputation for being an easy piñata (perhaps set up by their own counsel, but I'm sure Washington DC firms would never do something like that), then the lawsuits will flow. I recall one firm got $600,000 for re-writing bylaws.
