I think Its not the SRA designation that has value. What has value is more building relationships with other AI members on the path to obtaining the designation who can help advance your career. All the collateral risk chiefs and higher ups at banks are designated appraisers and they decide who gets on the panel and who does not.

I never took an online AI course. Been to many classes and conferences and you do meet many contacts. Wish I could go to more but the sites chosen are usually over 20 miles.
If too far, not worth it.
