Isn't "somebody" available in a position of political power who wishes to champion the plight of the independent appraiser??? There must be other occupations of skilled tradepersons possibly experienced and licensed, who are urepresented, disenfranchised, and dying an agonizing collective death--who would join the campaign. Maybe just a pipedream, or a scene from an Ayn Rand novel based upon the optomistic bent of Everyman????

Not even the parasites that rely on the money they suck out of appraisers' pockets to maintain the survival of their own enterprises.
If there is a significant decline in the number of appraisers, will Ala Mode/Core Logic have less dough? or by then will they have accumulated enough info from our appraisals to sell for even more money than we have provided for their software leases etc? E&O insurers? probably take a hit. Education providers? Yep.

How about when defaults are up, foreclosures once again threaten the economy, and lenders wanna know current market value? Oohhhhhhh ya, then it will be: "dang! where are all the appraisers who can actually give us accurate market value?" ...Starved to death in a desert of indifference.

Current value for pre foreclosures can be done using Realtor BPOs getting two for $150.00 to $200.00 including interior and exterior photo's a cuba case floor plan and a Copper Logic Avm at $18.00.

Sorry not good for appraisers but that's the new model and it's good value for the money paid
