I'm definitely down for a union, dues are usely $4 every two weeks. I work at a hospital and the Union just stepped in and we received raises after not receiving any in 2yrs!

Trickle up economics? That's a lot of money from thousands of appraisers that should create some interest from the top. We'll see. It would be nice to be united in a good way. We haven't seen much trickling down except more work and less money.

The fact that we have zero unified voice, muscle or representation is why things are the way we are for us. We are the obvious targets. We can't effectively fight anything from our appraiser caves wearing our pajamas.

I agree. Change is going to have to start from the top. We have made very little progress from the bottom.

I don't believe there has been a better time in my 29 years of appraising. Don't know about before then. It would kinda be like throwing raw meat to a tiger from a qualified tiger handler. We are kinda like hungry tigers right now!

I am anti unions in general. What we need is the market to force many out of the business.
