Well said Mark
I owe my financial gains to AMC's. If it wasn't for some of them, I would not be appraising today. I'd rather have constant flow of work and checks coming in rather than sitting around and praying for an order the hard way.

Also, the ASC does not email addresses of appraisers, neither does the OREA

Thank GOD for that. I must hand it to you for your transparency however, coming right out and admitting up front that you'd rather be a parasite than a host. Best of luck with this.

Seems like a strange time to get into the AMC business. From the feedback I'm getting, at least in my area, most of them can't find appraisers willing to take their orders. Good luck (I think)!

So what makes your AMC better? For me to join, I want higher fee and less stips and guidelines. Also, how do I know you will pay me. I KNOW my existing clients are paying me on time. Otherwise, don't waste my time.

Well with that type of mentality it sounds like someone is all prepared to go after the cheapest and faster appraiser bottom dwellers available.

I don't know of one appraiser worth their salt who owes their financial gains to an AMC unless they own one. Maybe there is a very good reason why you were kept in the game by AMCs or would have been gone without them.

Is there a way I can opt out ahead of time?

Mike
