At this point... every email you get requesting you to PAY to be in some appraiser directory, always ask for 3 months for free. It doesn't cost them anything more than the spam they send out daily to get you in their system for 3 months.

If you get an order, sign up with them and post their resource here!

I can tell you the only place I have received an order for free were:

craigslist dot com
appraiserusa dot com
zipappraisers dot com

NEVER use appraisal dot com, they gave work in the past, but I have tried EVERYTHING to get 1 order from them, they just don't have it.

A company that is soliciting your services, either online or on the phone should give you at least 3 months free. It is total BS that they can't offer that. I have always believed in offering a valuable product. When it comes to marketing, if I sell a product and make my dime, somebody better make at least a quarter! The more the better!

Anyways, post your resources here. I know we hate to share competing info, but really, we are the cream of the crop, sharing info, and that is how we all stay happy.

Directories will soon be a thing of the past, if the HVCC passes!

ProVal USA use to work for me, but they have basically died in the last year

Do you relist on craigslist every week?

What is the deal with ProVal USA? You have to pay $50 a year AND they add a charge on top of your fee?

Appraiserzoom called me a few months ago and offered me a free listing with all the bells and whistles so that they would have some actual listings when they started to market. I can tell you that I have gotten a couple of orders and a few information calls. No, I didn’t pay for my listing but the site looks pretty good and they claim to do direct marketing every month to tons of users. From what I understand, they will list you for free in your home county but if you want a profile and stuff you have to pay.

Done with Directories

I am done with directories. I will still find and fill out the free ones but I am not paying for them anymore. For the past 8 years or so that I have tried them, I can't recall more than maybe 2 appraisals that have come from them. I prefer the fee for work type like Appraisal Port. I know, everyone hates Appraisal Port, but at least if they don't supply the work then I don't pay them. :nono: Being from Mississippi, I can't help but love the company but am not to hip on their ethics. Does anyone know of any other companies that will charge you for just the orders they send? I think it will be the way of the future after the dust settles with HVCC.

This is true. We will list you for free in your home county. However if you want maximum exposure we require a fee which is not very high (compared to other sites). And unlike most other sites, we actually market FOR the appraiser and not just TO the appraiser. If anyone would like more details, please PM or email me.

Don't use <needappraisers.com>. They have a money-back guarantee, right there on there web page, if you don't get at least one appraisal in 12 months. Surprise! They don't honor the guarantee.

Does anyone know anything about appraisal scope?
